WIRE IS BEST: Using stainless steel wire is the best option for slicing through cheese. The length of the wire allows it to cut through large pieces of cheese. It is thin for a precise cut but also is easy to clean as cheese does not stick to it like it would a knife or cheese plane. The wire never needs sharpening and is not dangerous like a knife could be.
